As a mediator, Susan brings to the table not only her extensive litigation experience, her legal acumen, and her ability to analyze risk, but just as importantly, her passion for resolving conflict, and her ability and willingness to empathize and listen. She started her career as counsel at a full service law firm and then moved in house to a large insurance and financial service company where she served for over a decade as Senior Counsel.
Throughout Susan’s legal career she has had responsibility for hundreds of litigated matters, including many significant, complex matters. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice (General Division), the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
In her practice, Susan has always recognized the advantage of dispute resolution over the excessive costs, substantial time and pitfalls of litigation. She has constantly participated in mediations and experienced firsthand how the outcome leads to a resolution that benefits both parties.
With Susan’s passion for helping others and her strong problem-solving skills, becoming a mediator was the obvious choice. Creating Results Mediators has given her the opportunity to bring her skill set and experience to the mediation table to help you resolve your dispute.
